• Coordinate efforts to protect and promote public support for and acceptance of breastfeeding.
• Increase the number of women who choose to breastfeed.
• Plan and promote annual "World Breastfeeding Week" activities.
• Influence policies in workplaces, educational institutions and child care facilities to support breastfeeding families.
