- Coordinate efforts to protect and promote public support for and acceptance of breastfeeding.
- Increase the number of women who choose to breastfeed.
- Plan and promote annual "World Breastfeeding Week" activities.
- Influence policies in workplaces, educational institutions and child care facilities to support breastfeeding families.
