The BCW recognizes and honors Washington State companies that have shown leadership and significantly contributed to promoting and supporting breastfeeding as a vital part of the health and development of children and their families. This award is presented at the Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington Annual Meeting, the WithinReach Fundraising Luncheon or other public event. Whether or not awards are presented in conjunction with the WithinReach Luncheon, awardees are publicly acknowledged at this event.

If you would like to nominate a company, please consider the following:

• Does the company have a written breastfeeding policy? (Please email or fax).
• Are there designated spaces or a room(s) where employees can breastfeed/pump? If so, please describe below.
• If there is not a designated space, how are accommodations made for pumping?
• Are breastpumps available to employees?
• Is there any other form of lactation support?
• Does the company have any information on the percentage of employees using the services and their satisfaction (Please include in your description below)?
• Please describe the company's family leave policy.
• Please share details about how the employer/company feels about supporting breastfeeding employees. (A direct quote is preferred).

In addition, please send documentation for the above listed considerations that support the company's worthiness of this award, this can include pictures. Site visits may be made to determine the award recipient.
