Working & Breastfeeding: It's Worth it!
Working & Breastfeeding: It's Worth it! is a free packet of information designed to help mothers who return to work. In addition to health benefits of breastfeeding, these handouts contain suggestions for finding supportive daycare, tips for transitioning back to work, support services, and information for employers about why and how employers can support their breastfeeding employees.
Written by the BCW Executive Committee and first published in 1998, this
packet was created through a joint effort by the BCW, WithinReach
(formerly Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies), Washington Department of
Health and the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The packet is available for free to Washington State residents by
calling 1-800-322-2588. Washington State health care providers may also
receive a complimentary copy. The packet was designed to be photocopied.
